Jeff Combs in "Felony" (1994)

These two short clips are from Jeff's only straight ahead action film, "Felony" from 1994. Jeff plays cameraman William Knight who gets caught in the crossfire of a drug raid gone wrong while he captures the whole incident on videotape. Unable to trust anyone, Bill must flee from both the drug lords and the police with his incriminating evidence.

These scenes come soon after the drug raid. Bill has been injured in an explosion and Nurse Laura Bryant (Ashley Laurence) attends to him. As you can see from these scenes, Jeff and Ashley have a wonderful chemistry and their flirtatious banter is both adorable and very realistic. The little give and take element between them is so charming and these hospital scenes in particular are some of my absolute favorites. They never fail to cheer me up when I'm feeling low. Here' s hoping they help you too!

Jeff and Ashley have also appeared in "Lurking Fear" together (also released in 1994) and again made a great pairing as the unconventional Dr. Haggis and the headstrong Cathryn.

Although the film is lacking in many areas, "Felony" still gives Jeff a wonderful chance to show he can play a fantastic (and romantic!) leading man and also a chance to show off his incredible physicality and comic timing.

Oh, Jeff definitely does his best with this, and looks pretty darn cute doing so. :) But I can't help thinking that Jeff himself would come up with far better and more effective lines to flirt with, than what he was given here.

Aw, come on, give Jeff a break. He makes this dialogue as good as possible. I don't think it's creepy at all. Then again, if it weren't Jeff saying it, I'd probably agree with you.

The dialogue written for Jeff's character here is pretty ham-fisted, unfortunately.  What should be cute, light-hearted flirting comes off as creepy instead. You can't blame the nurse too much for turning him down. Her retorts were funny though, I'm gonna have to keep those in mind :)
