I like Jane, and maybe she was trying to sing this song with her own style, but with certain songs you just have to sing it a certain way, this song is one of them. Using a R&B spin just does not work on this song. Honestly, I think even the other people on stage was disappointed.

First of all, it does not make sense as to why anyone would want to hear this classic song to be sung this way. Lastly, this clip only shows the singing part, no request of "to sing it like this" was made. Did you watch the entire show? If you did, I can only take your word for it.
