"Subhybrid Fields" is not a real band, but a reference to one of the dorkier jokes in the movie (see video for details).

This song was written for the closing credits of the film BURNING ANNIE. Randy wrote the song in an afternoon, using a two-chord ditty from the movie's score as a point of departure (see next video "I'm Just Fine" by Dean Harada). It was recorded in the living room where Nate and Shmed lived over 4 hours in December 2002 and mixed in Nate's bedroom.
