Another video if the launch light show for the Vari-Lite VL6™ at Vari-Lite Europe in 1994. The rig features VL6™, VL5™ and VLM™ luminaires controlled from an Artisan Plus™ console. Designed and programmed by Andrew Voller.

  • what program was used to program the lights

  • @zapdo77 The console was a Vari-Lite Artisan Plus console (now discontinued). Richard Bleasdale's SAMSC software was used for the timecode ( sending MIDI commands to the console to trigger the cues and chases ).

  • Hi, I am just amazed at what you did with the not only the programming but the whole light show, use of lights etc. Congratulations what a job.

Also can you tell me how many lights it took to do the whole thing

  • Hi there, thank you for your message. From what I can remember it was...

    26 x VL6

    52 x VL5 ( I think 6 of them were VL5B, the ones lights the side sails )

    4 x VLM

I do have a hand drawn plan somewhere. I'll see if I can scan it and post it on here.
