I've never felt such like an Austinite as I did that Sunday afternoon filming Dustin Welch on the Town Lake bridge. People stopped to see what we were doing, check out the band, and listen to the great music. The sun was out, the sky was clear, and the water was fresh looking. Apparently, Dustin Welch's sister had jumped off that bridge, we all knew he was next. The boot tapping music he produced from his banjo drew in the biggest of our session crowds consisting of joggers, babies, and dogs. Everyone joined in with clapping and humming. It was the perfect day to be outside, exercise, or listen to the folk rhythms of Dustin Welch.
FUN FACT Eldridge Goins, the percussionist from Suzanna Choffel's Austin Session, becomes the first person to perform in TWO Austin Sessions. Check him out.
