"New" country is correctly called "Pop Country", because it's made by the same industrial corporate music machinery that makes regular Pop music. It has no soul, no talent, no creativity, and a generic, bland sound that appeals to the widest possible spread of tasteless morons. The artists are cookie cutter and all sound alike, and a lack of singing ability is no handicap since they just Autotune it (just like in regular Pop).
