Also called a Cobra Stitch and a Portuguese Sinnet, the Solomon Bar is used as a military cord and pervasively by hemp necklace and bracelet weavers.

the typical rule for tying with paracord is 1 ft for 1 in. so if you want a 6 in. bracelet, then use 6 ft of cord.

JD, I need a little help. First let me say thank you for sharing your gift with all of us!! I've made several of your bracelets so far but this was my first 2 color Solomon Bar using a loop & diamond knot closure. I wasn't sure about the length of cord needed so I used 7' of each color. I ended up with one side of color about a foot and the other side almost 2 ft. on both cords of color. Both cords started even in half. What is the correct way to start so they end up even when finished? Linda

this is much clearer than other videos I've seen. I especially appreciate that you always use the strand on the right, and cross it over the center 2 strands alternate between over and under the center 2. Super easy! :)
