He was fascinated by rhythm. I saw him in concert, he performed the concert as sets of five songs back-to back, with a sip of water between each five.
My sister informed me he died in a fancy Swiss hotel by saying
'He even died in style'. A class act, music ran through him.

Why are people surprised that Robert performs material like this? He was SO cosmopolitan in his work. You're amazing, is the title of one of Robert's songs, but it also describes Robert, to a T!!

Does anyone know what this is taken from? I have all of Robert's albums, but have never come across Planet of Women. I, also, have a single of Addicted to Love, that has a 'B' side called LET'S FALL IN LOVE and it is WONDERFUL!!

I also believe that Alan Mansfield stepped out from the keyboards to play along side Eddie Martinez forming a duel. He would also do that on Johnny and Mary as well. Great concert I have it on tape some where at home. I saw him Cleveland April 1986 and it didn't disappoint.

Eddie Martinez was on Robert's Riptide tour, in the U.K.and on Heavy Nova, which was a 1988 release. So, I would guess it is him. I don't think that Steve Stevens worked with Robert until Don't Explain.

Are you sure this was in San Diego? That concert stop was 7-22-86 and he only had one date in San Diego that tour. I went to that concert and still have the ticket stub.

thanks. i wondered if it was Steve Stevens, since it sort of sounds like him and know he recorded with palmer in 1990, but that is 4 years off.
