The past can't always be explained or understood by what we read in the history books. Sometimes it's filled with little-known facts that cause us to re-evaluate the people and events that make history.

    John 8:36

36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

    NLT

  • Fact is, we are still slaves today, all of us, every race and creed, nation and continent. We are collectively owned by central banking cartels which have redistributed our wealth through loaning us fake paper money at high interest, creating perpetual debt and inflation mathematically impossible to pay back, while creating third world poverty, mass starvation and helping to fund ideas like communism--(Paul Warburg). We are debt slaves to an oligarchy, a ruling elite who wants a new world order.

  • @LordoftheKaty I have already have heard a couple of different people who say they have heard from God, that the US is going to go through a great depression much worse than the fall of 1929, IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS! We will have to wait and see, but just in case, we BETTER get prepared!

  • @LordoftheKaty We choose to but down our guns and the lord knows we can pick them up again. We will never forget what Sherman did afterwards.

  • @RonRepublican No but we must forgive Sherman!

  • @joelweymouthtais: Actually, I believe every slave from the Ottoman Empired is dead now; that's 100%.

Also, the Bible approves of slave rebellion in the Book of Exodus. Also, the rebellion of the Israelites against Rehaboam is blessed by God in I Kings 11:26-40. God only chastizes King Jeroboam (over Israel) b/c he practices idolatry in I Kings 12: 25-33.

God hates slavery, whatever else might be demonstrable from the Bible, certainly that is.

  • @MrMajorpaul Also Major Gen. Patrick Cleburne "The Stonewall of the West" also had put forth the proposal to give Negros freedom in exchange for enlistment in the army but was ignored and went unremarked. Many Confederates like you said fought for freedom from tyranny and also fought for their homes and family. Its horrible that some of the greatest generals of the war had to be killed like Jackson and Cleburne, God bless them all.

  • @RonRepublican I'm going to guess that Sherman isn't worried about your guns.

  • @joel10000a Amen. General Jackson was working to free people (regardless of race) from slavery to sin and death. The Jews of the first century were looking for a messiah to lead them in throwing off the yoke of the Romans, but God had a much more profound purpose in mind.

  • Jackson never liked slavery, nor did he fight for it. He was in favor of giving Negros freedom in exchange for enlistment in the army. He had a free black man as his cook, and he prayed with this man on a regular basis.

What General Jackson was fighting for was freedom from tyranny. What he was fighting for was to keep his state of Virginia free from a man who wanted to run the country in spite of what the Constitution said.

    God bless General Stonewall Jackson!

  • Early Christians didn't try to change slavery in the Roman Empire. The Bible doesn't support revolt against an earthly government- early Christians worked to convert both slave owners and slaves alike. If you read Ephesians - a master was to be kind and take care of his servants- not mistreat in any way. I would not want to be a slave or a master - it is much easier to pay someone a wage and they take care of themselves. No one ever talks of the slave trade to to the Ottoman empire: 95% died.
