Absolutely beautiful memories.
I was born in '67 but probably started going around 3 years old; I too miss the the way the park was, but then again I suppose maybe we all miss being so young...
Remember the cop with the "stop/go" sign?
I used to go to the stock car races, and remember being able to hear them from our home on Tilghman Street.
Thanks for posting this - I think these types of things highlight the joy YouTube creates!

Why can't the Amusement Parks be like this Today. I remember this so well. It's all about Speed & Thrills Today.
I want to go back to those Days again.

Dorney Park from this era was a smaller, yes, but a far friendlier park. The grainy images portrayed on this video synchronize nicely with the memories of my own family spending precious Summer afternoons here that wound into the twilight and closing time. Thinking back on it I realize that my parents were heroic in taking their five sons, (never losing so much as one child!) to wander the acreage at Dorney.
In my mind, Heaven looks as this.

What a great piece of Dorney history here. I have been going to DP since I was a child in the 80s and I can relate with this video. Awesome!

Too bad these camera's didn't have sound back in the 60's.

My dad filmed this with an 8mm camera. I transferred the film to DVD. It's a hobby of mine, but I also transfer film for a fee.

Great video. Took my wife and I back. We are the same age as a lot of those kids are now!

I don't know why but this video has gotten more responses than any of my uploads. A funny story, I sent this to a cousin who was in the video, he happened to be having old friends over for dinner, friends they hadn't seen in forever. When they watched the video, their old friends were in it too and they all had a big laugh. Then theys ent it to friends who were in it and then to others. I know I have more DP film so I'll have to upload it.
