This is Muffy the Daggit from the 1978 series Battlestar Galactica. This screen used robotic dog known as a Daggit named Muffet 2 has been in storage about 25 years. Recently a friend, and myself spent months researching, and then we restored him. This was for me the final time to see this guy before leaving to the PropWorx Auction house for the Aug 27th 2011 Galactica auction. The one ear isn't working because the jack from the servo was the wrong style. That servo is the same make as the other two that are originals, but some how this replacement piece didn't had the correct pattern. Anyway this was just moments are the very 1st try of turning the electronics on since maybe the show was on the air.

  • The auction isn't for 2 more weeks. Aug 27th 2011 on Live Auctions

  • I wish we could have had some film time, but the owner would snag him up every time we finished something up.

  • Muffit does live! How did the Galactica auction go?

  • so, this is how Cavil ended up!, he kept saying he wanted to be a complete robot :D

  • This is utterly reprehensible! What kind of evil experiment is this? You decapitated Muffy to see how long the head lives on?
