  • Pause at 1:58 and read. Explains the overall theme for this thought-provoking short.

  • @TheCapBerry Not sure what your getting at sir. I do know that personally, I find the message of Love, which Jesus so perfectly demonstrated is magnified and extended beautifully though NOOMA and the work of Rob Bell. He tells us that its not a matter of believing in Jesus and still acting in accord with selfishness and deceit its a matter of walking in faith in the Almighty - such that Gods love may be made manifest though us, as in feeding the poor, living with love and service, like Jesus did

    no love for Carl Sagan.........

  • Such a high quality teacher

  • I really loved this Nooma. This is what I got from it:

I believe that his point was about the song. But that the song is God, who is played to everyone.

I believe his main point was that can you hear the song, can you hear God? And to encourage us to be in tune with God by listening to Him and reading His Word and living how Jesus lived.

When he says those virtues and the people who struggle to have relationship with God he's saying they're in tune with the aspects of God, the things Jesus did. No where does he say that they'll go to heaven but that they've caught on to something, something good, something that some Christians don't have. I think the message itself is not directed towards non-Christians. And who are you to judge someone's (rob bell's) relationship with God?

  • @ovibent Who are you to judge someone's relationship with God?

  • By listening to Rob Bell, I think of God in new ways. He cites parts of the Bible, sometimes that I had not previously heard. His first video, Rain, helped me understand why suffering exists in the world. In the long history of time, the greater good becomes quite complex, and some pretty scary things can be necessary for it. God used Rob Bell as a vessel to reach me. His teachings may not all be perfect, but this is definitely a Christian man.
