  • where did this beautiful music come from?

  • It apparently came from the Thomas J. Valentino stock music library. The company is still in business but I'm not sure what it would take to have them look the pieces up. One comment at my "A Cat's Life" Terrytoon said he found discarded 78 rpm records at a New York sale labeled Thomas J. Valentino and containing this very music. It's been conjectured that the pieces are little-known works of music students circa 1900.

  • @ftsjr i couldn't agree more im 22 and like these cartoons more than the stuff that came on when was a kid

  • You made me think of a much happer time in my life. When people were kinder and most did not lie, when you gave your word it ment something ,Very sad for the children starting out to miss all of this. Hoping for some turning the clock back just a little. Thank You SOOOO very much for putting these cartoons up, you made many smile. Wishing you the very best Mr. Scott. Susie(50 something)

  • 52kid, I do, too. I also remember a lot of stabbing and "one drop" blood effects or art in the frame to suggest they were stabbed. WEIRD. The psychedelic occurred right in front of our eyes......

  • Thanks for putting this on. For some reason i remember mostly cats and tons of mice, when i think of Farmer Grey. And i really think little kids would watch these again at 7am in the morning.

  • I could not agree more!!!

The computer generated stuff is sickeningly ugly and downright scary- I would think it would give a kid nightmares. Add to that the extreme and graphic violence and an often very cynical and ultra-satiric attitude that has no place in cartoons meant for children-terrible.
