  • -Don't cry too much

    -Okee doke!

Gotta love it. I have a feeling if I could meet and talk to any one of the Mercury Astronauts, I would have enjoyed talking to Gus the most.

  • He sounds calmer than I do when I'm walking down the street.. !

  • Exceptionally clear voice from the MR-4 pilot. Clearer than Capcom. Wonder if that was recovered audio tape from the spacecraft after it was brought up from the ocean bed.

  • Gus Grissom was the Dale Earnhardt of astronauts

  • was that Al Shepard on CapCom?

  • @dylanbonnar i mint be realted to gus

  • Poor Gus got such the raw deal.

  • Wow! Thanks for this video!

I was a kid during the Gemini and Apollo missions. Unfortunalely, I was too young to remember the Gemini missions, but I remember the Apollo missions fairly clearly, from Apollo 8 and on. I was absolutely captivated by it all. Ever since then I have been very interested in both the US and USSR/Russian space programs, and now commercial space flight.

It is a real treat to be able to see these images and hear the radio transmissions.

    Thanks!

  • Great audio.... thanks for uploading this!
