Aerial rope is fine, you just need to do the drops a few times to get used to it. And Spanish Web really only bruises the parts you use to hold on.

omg I do aerial silk ballet and I know how much it hurts to do those drops and stuff but WOW, with those ropes it must hurt like 100 times more O.O
God, I love Cirque du Soleil, when you think you've seen it all, they show up and surprise you with new and more amazing/beautiful stunts...
