This is without doubt the worse phone Nokia have ever dumped on their unsuspecting customers. Woefully underpowered CPU, poor battery life, atrocious buggy software, expensive (and useless) GPS mapping. If you think waiting 20-30 seconds for your contacts list to appear is acceptable, buy it!

Avoid this phone people! I have had my N96 for seven months and if I could throw it back at Nokia, I would.

This will be the last Nokia I will ever buy. Nokia's customer support is basically non-existent.

Get A Frmware Update And Shut The Fuck Up.

Firmware upgrades are not available for Optus customers in Australia, because Nokia created an upgrade system requiring network provider approval, and neglected to tell the network providers.

So stick THAT up your dumb ass, fuckwit!

dont know why your phone was so shit, my battery lasts 2 days ( thats with lots of calls, watching the HD videos, and picture taking, contacts in an instant, only 1 crash witch was part my fault, but the gps mapping, nokia customer support is awsome, when my n95 broke they sent me a new phone out, they were even prepared to give me an n96, just update the firmware....... then the phone is a dream

Read the thread! Firmware updates have NOT been available for this phone to Asia-Pacific customers since version 12.043 which came out around Christmas 2008!
THAT'S why this phone (and its support) is shit and THAT'S why I've just upgraded to a nice, shiny iPhone 3GS 32GB.
