Zoom Vacations South Africa Tour 2009

Zoom Vacations travelers visited Cape Town, Johannesburg, a safari in the
African bush, and lastly Victoria Falls, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the
World!

Of course the main thing everyone wants to hear about is the safari
experience and the animals we saw. Our game viewing couldn't have been
better! In addition to seeing all of the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant,
buffalo and rhino) we also had some rare and wonderful encounters with a
cheetah and even a pack of wild dogs, which was a first for us.

There were once approximately 500,000 African Wild Dogs in 39 countries, but
now there are only just over 3,000 in fewer than 25 countries.

Every time we go to South Africa, our group has a rare and interesting
spotting, in addition to seeing the "checklist" of animals. What will it be
for 2010?
