my mind is wandering between collecting content suggestions beforehand and then asigning someone to do the vid - and just going straight for it, having people extend the first video with what they think is missing in additional vids.

the latter could be less quality and more chaotic, but the first is work-like and therefore maybe provides less cooperation.

a cool thing would be to get people to send in the skill they want to learn, and then advertise for someone do make the vid.

well i must admit i only have 5 topic-vids so far, but its definitly at least in some of them - if not in other vids too. i guess if you havent noticed .. then it might not become clear until you start to think about the content in more detail. that sux, i guess this means i have to change strategy.

hehe .. school on youtube ... sounds like a fun collaboration idea and a usefull one for once! :)

i just wonder how to organize it .. to achieve best quality results.

i always wonder what those dates and dead men/women have to do with the knowledge i am trying to aquire .. to me .. they are just blocking my way :P

It is very important! An increasing number of German kids are going into debt because of their cell phone contracts.

And it wouldn't really be all that difficult to sit down with an indivudual kid and work out some basic rules with him or her. Like, what do you want to use your money for? What are some pitfalls you should avoid? How to budget your money and increase your income? Stuff like that...

I know exactly what you mean.

We have very little influence on the curriculum, don't we? The only thing we can do is interest students in additional topics outside of regular class.

That's quite a comprehensive issue. I don't remember seeing a video of yours about this topic before, tjc.

That gives me an idea... could we try to teach some of the suggestions we have gathered here in YouTube videos? Maybe on a seperate channel in collaboration?

"whats a human, how does a human work and what are the effects"-thats what i would teach in school(in a few cryptic words-lol), and thats what i wanted to do on youtube. its kind of the most basic thing everyone has to deal with for a whole life-but doesnt really know much about, while assuming the contrary. it needs to be tought as early as possible, because adults are mostly not "open" enough anymore to fully embed the information. and I think it could make the world a better place.
