I had a surgery when my daughter was one. I went to stay with my mother-in-law to get the extra pair of hands. I was able to do everything except lifting. I would have her set my daughter in my lap to hold her. Good luck with that.
As for birth control, I used to work in OB/GYN office and he told me that NuvaRing has a weight limit on it. It would be perfect for once you reach goal, but it becomes less and less effective the more you weigh.

Congrats on the date...almost a month later now, you must be counting down the days! I'm hoping to schedule mine around early September...but that is still up in the air at this point. :) It will be interesting to see your progress a month or so ahead of mine, and exciting. :)

Thanks!! Yes I am counting down the days!! Hope you find your date out soon! Hopefully I can help you out some with my videos. I need to make them more often. With a one year old it is hard sometimes!!

Fantastic news, April! I'm so glad for you. You will definitely need someone to stay with you to help you with your daughter for the first week or 2 for sure... as far as birth control, I was told to use 2 forms for the first year post-op. I will write u a personal message since this is so personal! : )
