  • Hi, I have a RC80, and RC88/4 turntables in excellent condition, and i'm looking for the two post centers for anyone. Do you know if can i buy this in US, where, and how much?... I'm thinking make this, but i prefer the original parts.

Here, in Guadalajara, turntables are absolutely out of use, and for the people they are simply trash or junk. Only the dj's uses some type of direct-drive turntables, and LP lovers like me continue using record players.

    I love turntables!!!...

  • YOu might try Ebay, these are very common

good luck and thanks for comment

  • beautiful.. how in the heck do you set the tracking force on those? or can you? how does the cartridge mount to the headshell?

  • I'll do a vid on setting tracking force, also the cartridge mount is just like most with 2 small screws.

    thanks for commenting

  • Splendid job! And I heard what you did there. ;-)

  • hope you don't mind...it's become part of our mix at Bstreet

  • Hi. I recently used two slices of bicycle inner tube as belts for a Garrard RC80M. You need a tube diameter of 16mm and a slice of about 3/8". Wipe all the talc off and turn inside out. Hey presto!

  • I saw a Grundig console there. I have one like it. I can't get the changer to power up. The radio gets AM and weak FM. But SW is nada. Someday I may try to restore it.

  • Great video. I wish I had seen if before I dug into mine.

The changer on mine worked after cleaning and regreasing. There are alot of levers and gears pulling on the idler wheel during the change cycle and the grease had just hardened over the years.

I posted a video of mine to show my final results. It's a very fine piece of engineering and well worth the effort.

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • oh also how do I adjust where the arm sets down on the record?

    Thanks Again

    Andi

  • Where can I get the 2 speed belts? I have one of these turntables and only have 78rpm right now :-( Also the gromets fo rthe motor? I am in England. Great videos and please keep up the great work.

    Andi

  • Thanks acfinney!!!... How is your e-mail address??? =D

  • Hey, I'll give you a center post if you still need one. It is for stacking LP records. Just email me if you need one. Got to keep these antiques running.
