I can't make transition between 2 clips (just work with one or the other!) over the main clip on the time line.... even after creating a compound clip. Do you have an idea how to resolve this?
This software drives me crazy sometimes!

@CaptnCrunch013 Fill sit with static? I'm not sure I understand. How do you add your transition? I prefer clicking on (selecting) the edge of the clip and double clicking on the transition of choice from the panel. You avoid issues that way. I'm not sure however how you'd get static... Could you explain further?

What if the audio is very close together. In available media mode (even with -3db audio curve) I can hear audio from the overlap parts. So I think I need full overlap but only for certain transitions. How do I switch between full overlap and available media in each different transition without changing the global setting? Will changing the global only apply when I apply the transition?

@U2GuitarTutorials This is why, ultimately, I do everything manually. When joining clips, I'll often split the audio track from the video, apply the transitions to the video but cut the audio track manually. It's the best way really. If it's a simple fade in/out, just do it manually. Most transitions can be done that way. There are no "on-the-fly" options for available media or full overlap and it does affect the whole project.

I was asked about a bug applying transitions. It'll sometimes add it to another clip further down your timeline. To avoid this, select the edge of the clip where you want the transition and double click on the desired transition from your transition browser.
