(1/7) Ocarina of Time -- Impromptu speedrun #3 -- 1st place!

DEFINITION OF IMPROMPTU: action that one does without planning or organizing in advance.

This is an IMPROMPTU run meaning it's done first try, with no prior determined route and done at a relaxed pace. Please don't leave comments saying this could be improvable. You're only making yourself look ignorant.

The Impromptu challenge, hosted at www.zeldaspeedruns.com had their 3rd monthly impromptu challenge; that is, be given a random goal and complete it as fast as possible.

You don't know the goal until you start. The goal in this impromtu speedrun is to buy out all the bombchus in the bombchu market then talk to Saria with the name 'SOLD'.

I complete the challenge in about an hour and 15 minutes (1:15)

Savewarps, Deathwarps, and any glitches besides CC are allowed.

This run was played on the N64 obviously.

Anyway good segment, although I can see improvement in areas (although I can't say much, I'm no speedrunner.) Too bad Navi still ended up talking about that door... Do you HAVE to beat dodongo's Cavern to buy bombchus? Or can you just go get bombs from the Cavern and then buy bombchus?

this is an impromptu. Obviously things will be improvable. This is the first attempt and you don't get a second attempt.

My segmented speedrun segments are done with hundreds of attempts which is why they contain very few flaws.

I didn't know what to name Link, so I was behind by 20 seconds from the start. But sure enough, I caught up. I also would have had a faster time by 3-4 minutes had I not attempted to get the yellow rupee in kakariko!
