  • Please tell me this exist in real recording cd?

  • @Fennoscandie Unfortunately this video is the only version/recording of this gig that i know of..... big shame. :-(

  • That settles it. I'm not touching my guitar for a week. I've failed it.

  • LOL!

  • In many respects, I always saw Lane as a Jeff Beck on steroids.

  • LOL.... yeah i kinda agree, with a bit of McLaughlin, Holdsworth and EJ thrown in to the mix as well.

  • not to be a quibbler, but this vid (amongst others)shows SL's ability to both blow minds, yet be completely oblivious to the musicians he's playing with. He loses the the groove @ 5:03, though it could be the rhythm section contemplating "oh shit is he gonna keep going?" As a bass player, I've been in that spot!

I think his work w/Hellborg is awesome, and JH definitely tightened him up, but sometimes, I think SL's beauty was pure expression, possibly at the sake of other musical interests.

  • shred master shawn lane makes me want to quit playing guitar. I recently wrote a really cool idea on guitar and then found out how incredibly crappy it was after watching some shawn lane videos.

  • @nenad1974 Vigier is the brand from France.

  • Does anyone know the maker of that superstrat ?

  • This is rockin.

  • Great song done to the max..

  • WTF man... 3:06-3:20... W...T....F lol.

  • Honestly, a lot of people think Shawn died of health issues, but he was actually playing so fast one day, and with so much energy, that he just vanished into hyperspace. They still can't explain it.

No disrespect intended...I love Shawn, and there will never be another player like him.

  • Truly the only guitar player other than Beck himself to do justice to a Beck piece. No easy task my friends. What a f***in loss.....
