@theampedone1 you're an idiot. you don't even know the meaning of overproduced. KT Perry's version is filled with autotune, harmonizers, reverb, and echo. They recorded this for fun with no effects.  you obviously missed Naya's first vid if you don't know she can sing acapella.

And FYI "love will never do without you" was Janet Jackson who sang this at age 25 in 1991, so your comment about singing songs their age is just as dumb as your overproduced remark. stop hating loser.

lesson 1: song writers, lyricists, singers, session musicians, producers, and mastering studios are all used to create music. They can be different people or the same person and any shade in between. just because someone doesn't sing their own song doesn't mean they aren't songwriters. And just because someone writes a song, doesn't mean they can perform it.
