This is a video I made back in 2006. I apologize if some scenes are hard to see or if it's a bit shaky. Though, I hope you guys enjoy this video of what Pirates of the Caribbean was once like before Captain Jack Sparrow took over.

Did they not have the parrot standing on the shovel at the end of the ride until after the Jack Sparrow edit? I never noticed that.

Ahh, I'm glad the didn't change the ride too much. I have always loved Pirates Of The Caribbean ever since the fond memory of when the ride broke down right in front of the talking skull. We sat there and listened to the skull for over an hour before they evac-ed the ride. We'd sit there and and go "PSST! Avast there. It'd be too late to alter course."

@dawnflower14 Nah, the parrot was around before then as well. He was on top of a treasure chest, I think. The day I filmed this video was on the last day Pirates was open before it closed to add in Sparrow. By that time, some of the animatronics were already taken out.

@trollheimer Kiiinda. I wasn't really rushing to all of rides at every second, instead I spent a lot of time people-watching, sketching and enjoying the atmosphere. I always made sure I rode something, though.

This was a cool video, I cannot wait to go on this ride when i go to Disney Land at the end of July! Now I will get to see Jack Sparrow through out the ride. :)
