  • Don't take this the wrong way but your voice is so soothing, I couldn't sleep last night so I put on this video and I finally could :)

  • @SterlingElegance Haha, I get that quite a bit. I've been told I have a nice phone voice and should work for a crisis helpline. :)

  • I like to hammer the grommets on concrete. It is surprsingly quiet. Though last time I set grommets in this manner (for my Sweet Pea costume) I got a lot of funny looks, since I ended up having to hammer outside :)

  • @MalteseLizzieMcGee I prefer to hammer on concrete too, but it's still louder than my presser! :p I can't hammer outside for the next 6 months, unfortunately. (Canada) :(

  • yaay! i'm so happy this one is up! I do have one question left though. What size grommets do you prefer in a corset?

  • I'm on the fence about this. If my corset is made from a billion layers of fabric, I like #0 because it has a longer neck. I also prefer #0 for overbust corsets. For underbusts/cinchers, I like the #00 grommets as I think they look more delicate. I also like the #00 for my waist training corsets since I feel I have more control lacing it up. However it depends also on the laces used - if using 550 paracord then the #00 is a little snug so I'll use #0, while #00 is nice with ribbon laces.

  • Some great tips!

  • hi - thanks - excellent video! do you have any idea about how to fix snap grommets that have "teeth" on the inside to hold them together? I have a favorite jacket and two of the grommets came apart. I was thinking to just bend the teeth in so that I can put the pieces back together, hammer and hope for the best! If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!!!

  • Thanks for the video :) i like the hammer method - it makes me feel like i have more control over things and it's more fun. Those squeezy pliers hurt my hands too! :P

  • @bishonenrancher thank you so much! All of your video's help me a lot to start making my own :) It might take me a year to get everything I need plus the courage, but when it's done: I will send you pictures!

  • @Systemerror1607 Oh, the previous video was all about the presser so it would have been kinda redundant to show it again (not to mention make the video longer!). Glad you liked the video! :D
