The Homeland Security checkpoint seizure depicted in this video is the first one where I was stopped & seized in the presence of a drug dog during the day.

This footage should quiet those critics who claim these checkpoints are no big deal because they're only being used to check citizenship status.

Now it would appear that Homeland Security not only suspects everyone of being an illegal immigrant, now they suspect everyone of being drug smugglers as well.

Remember, this checkpoint is located over 40 miles North of the border along a public highway that never intersects the border at any point.

Lest critics claim the use of drug dogs at internal 'immigration' checkpoints are a rare occurrence, I also point you to an article detailing the use of Homeland Security drug dogs at a Yuma, AZ checkpoint based upon a joint agreement with the Yuma County Sheriff known as 'Operation Citation'. The operation specifically targets recreational drug users & demonstrates the inevitable mission creep associated with the use of suspicionless checkpoints by Homeland security:

I note that the U.S. Supreme Court specifically struck down as unconstitutional checkpoints used to detect the presence of illegal narcotics in City of Indianapolis v. Edmund in 2000.

This prohibition obviously hasn't even slowed down the Department of Homeland Security.

  • the scope of your absolute ignorance is amazing!!!! congratulations

  • That's funny tjtjtjtjjjjj. You've yet to specify what it is you think I'm ignorant of. By all means, enlighten us.

  • and how do you think you know what is effective in the "interdiction" of illegal aliens??? i dont belive you have any idea what you are talking about...and i am confident you will have so snappy reply as you do with every other person who thinks you are wrong....but you are

  • You're welcome to believe whatever you want tjtjtjtjjjjj. The fact of the matter is however that according to the GAO, that conducted a 2 year study of these internal suspicionless checkpoints, line operations are about 15x more effective at interdicting illegal border crossers than these internal checkpoints. For a detailed account, please refer to the 14 part video & blog series I posted on my website that highlights a town hall meeting on the subject by the GAO and Congresswoman GIffords.

  • Please reference the case law you claim is out of date along with the case law that you claim has superceded it 2204Alpha. I think you might be surprised by what you find.

  • i love you videos, keep up the good work, more videos please?

  • Sometimes it's confusing as to who's responding to who jorgec5151. By including the user name of the person I'm responding to, I remove that ambiguity on my end anyway.

  • BAHAHAHA Have a nice day sir

  • @tjtjtjtjjjjj It's really not that hard

    .

No warrant.; no search. No warrant no entrance into your home. No warrant; no entrance into your car. The only exception to that rule is 'probable cause' such as a person screaming for help inside your home, or car. That is not the case here therefore no search is allowed

    .

  • it shocks me how many commenters here are pro nazi and anti freedom. great job brother!!!!

(Fuck it, I'm not doin' this shit)

  • For those who think these checkpoints are trying to "catch criminals" or illegal aliens, running long term checkpoints is actually counterproductive to catching any real criminals. They'll have told eachother which routes have checkpoints and they'll stay away from those routes.

Besides which, driving the drugs along highways was the old method, now they're just tunneling in to deserted or makeshift air strips and flying it out in small private planes under the radar.
