The Dodo

A bit about the dodo, from the island of Mauritius. A strong symbol of what we can accomplish if we put our minds to it.
I've a bit of a soft spot for the animal kingdom, as any of you who know me will already be aware of. I never met a dodo, but come on, look how awesome its face is.

On a side note, animals are becoming extinct 100 times faster than previously thought, which is many thousands of times more than they would have if we weren't involved. Save those frogs!

I hate how dodos are portrayed in pop culture. Or how the word "dodo" has come to mean "fool." The real fools were those "altruistic" stewards of the earth (hypocrites!) who exterminated the species and despoiled their paradise.
