Longplay of the Amiga version of Kings Quest VI.

This is the best port Sierra ever made. Granted, the music could have been better and the walking animation is pretty bad but overall this is a good port. It was ported by Revolution I believe (creators of Beneath a Steel Sky etc) so that's probably why it's so much better made than their previous ports. And it runs much faster than the earlier ports too, much less demanding.

They did cut out a few scenes though.. some closeups here and there, a cave, some screens in the land of the dead, the horse riding scene, the skeleton dance in the land of the dead and several screens in the castle.

Oh and this is the WHDload version which is cracked so the logic cliffs puzzles (that are also the copy protection) have been removed.. well, I mean, they're still there but you can type in anything as the answers to the riddles.

Thanks for posting! I loved this game when I was younger. It's a shame that they cut some of the puzzles out of the Amiga version to save some disk space. I didn't know this when I played the game, and I almost went crazy trying to do the extra stuff; (I had received some hints from a friend who used an IBM). I wonder if they ever released this game for the CDTV? I actually like the music in this version better than in the newer version- maybe it's just because it brings back memories.

Compared with the recent version of KQ6, I could see a few differences and stuff. Kind of interesting.

i had this on PC when i was young, it had better music and real voice acting. i loved going to the pawn shop (0:14:05) and looking at all the items, i was always hoping the bat wings and stuffed bear would come into play later in the game. i loved to see this scene (1:13:28) too, especially after dying so much during the game, to actually explore the underworld was cool.
