It is a true story. Scientology's TOTAL Anti-psych is ridiculous as there are people who have been helped by the same people they claim are totally harmful. However, there are stories of horrific people, in every field, psych's being one group---just as in this story.

Tory your channel is excellent, I learn a lot watching you and Wise Beard Man discuss various issues. I was wondering if you saw the Scientology Article in sunday's New York Times. It's an interesting little piece by one of their investigative reporters who was trying to learn more about Scientology.

@DCIstampede I agree, many $cientologists are not bad people, why do you think so many ex-$cientologists protest the cult? Having been taken in by it then gradually discovering the con, they want to stop others falling for the con. I feel sad when I see good people taken in by this malicious con and famillies split up, unfortunately the cult has a way of turning good people into zombies who are detached from normal human emotions and behavior. Cults remove the good leaving hollow people.

@laserofjustice But one has to admit, that certainely not all of the $cientologists are bad people. In fact, probably >50% of them arent quite that insane. Its just like calling all Islamist's terrorists, just because of the group al-Qaeda. One easily gets carried away with all the media surrounding them and forgets that they are still compassionate people, they just beleive something different. For example, I have very discrimintated against friends who are Neo-Pagan. they're still human!

Yes, I know someone born into $cientology, quite a number of ex-$cientologists, have seen the weirdness of some current $cientologists and one freezoner who still believes in the "tech" but protests the "church of $cientology". I have also, very briefly met Tory in London!

@DCIstampede but that dont give you IRS info or criminal records, credit rating......Scientology is able to find out alot more that whats displayed on facebook ect.......they seem to get PERSONAL info. I just wonder where/how they get that info

@alien8ted Have you ever considered that they believe in something else than the average religion? Im not saying they're all perfect, but neitheir is any religion. Look at the Christian religion, they killed those who spoke out against that religion!

Okay look, I have nothing against christianity. Yes I am athiest, but I respect all religon's to have the right to believe what they may. Now that we have that settled, what in the world do you think is wrong with scientology? For example, the incident with Tom Cruise or whoever it was, its no big deal. I can perfectly understand why someone wouldnt want to have such an unfavorable postion brodcast all over the internet. Everyone what they want, who are you to tell them what to believe? tell me!
