This video was a long time in the making... I dropped the project more than once, only to think through the issues that caused me to drop it, and then to pick it up again at a later time.
I began to envision the concept long before the Metropolis DVD even had a release date, and a friend of mine bought me the DVD specifically so that I could create this video.
After completing and releasing the first part of the video (the portion done to "Twilight") I was tired of editing and decided to release the video, wanting to move on to other things. However, as time passed, I came to realize that I was not satisfied leaving the project half-finished. After some time, I continued the project from where I'd left off, completing it as I had originally intended to: with the complete "Prologue" as well as the full song "Yours Truly, 2095." I also added a fitting title sequence.
I made this piece in the way I envisioned it. I never once changed the concept when I realized that this piece would seem "odd" to people, and I realize that the finished work may not be easily understood. // Jason Scheiner

Just watched again. Truly one of the greatest if not the greatest clips ever. I bought the CD a few years back and loved how all the lyrics are consistant with the theme. Your video brings it to light. I was as ELO fan in the 70's and 80's and always thought prologue and twilight video would be great. Never believed it could be this good. I thank you for all the time you spent. Masterpiece!

Jason, first I must say this is a masterpiece. Brilliant and a great work which obviously took a great deal of time. Thank you for sharing your talent and your intelligence. I was never really a big fan of anime outside of the Dragonball series, but you have opened my mind to new and exciting and, may I say, breathtaking possibilities. You took some of my favorite music and captured the meaning of the words in a wonderfully visual sense. Once again, Thank You!
