A failure to feed captured in slow motion, I think it might have been an under-charged cartridge. A few in a row did this and most of them stove-piped. When I switched to a different kind of ammo it was fine. I re-polished the hammer and slide contact points anyway when I cleaned it.
High velocity ammo will cure that.

This gun is a total piece of junk. At least mine was. The first 50 rounds through mine were either failures to feed, or failures to fire. I sent it back and am waiting on the replacement. I hope for better luck this time.

This is why we use mini mags.

There are two different springs for the Mosquito, one for normal .22LR, and another for high velocity .22LR. You need to make sure you use the correct spring for the ammo. CCI Mini-Mags and Federal Ultra Match are good ammo choices for this gun.

Got the same pistol and was having the same problem.Took it to a local gunsmith ( A dying breed ) and he had it working perfect in a hour...35 bucks) which I more than glad payed. Here's all he done: Take the recoil spring out and cut about 1/8 off. Put it back together and now it fires perfect with any ammo. I would not do this myself. Take it to a gunsmith becouse it might not need that much cut and a good gunsmith after a couple of shots will know and stand behind the work.

I've been having the same problem with the Federal ammo lately. You can feel the slide not coming all the way back.
