Yes but we need to gain the country back from the multi Nationals.

I'm for home-grown businesses to stay in Australia to produce items of intrest for the world (not nuke making stuff of course).

Nothing wrong with free enterprize, it's unfair enterprize I am complaining about, do you support some businesses paying tax while others don't pay tax?

What has happened is the Liberal/Labor goverenments have implimented 1. The 1953 split tax agreement 2. The Lima agreemen, which promises we will destroy all of the Australian businesses and run the farmers off their land and buy from the third world countries what we used to make and grow here.
3. Multi Latteral Agreement on Investmen, which allows Multinationals to bring in cheap labour from their home country and their workers don't have to go through immigration.

it's cheaper in the short term to take manufacturing and production work off shore to countries with cheaper labor, HOWEVER, once we loose the majority of manufacturing and production capabilities we will be dependent on foreign countries to produce goods.

Hi xavster You are correct, the probem here is The Federal Government is honoring the Lima agreement where they agreed to give all of out technologies to third world countries and then destroy our manufacturers and run our farmers off their land and buy from those countries what we used to make and grow here. The Unions are deafly silent on this and so too are the Farmers Federation, A group who holds down our farmers while multinationals pack rape them.
