Hey guys, if you're wondering how rockabilly cats and country players get those cool licks and interesting little melodies, then this should help alot.

I've more or less built a rockabilly or country scale by starting with the pentatonic scale, then adding all the other cool tones in. If you take your time through all three videos it should be fairly straight forward!

The first video introduces some basics, the second two get to the point in more depth, so more advanced players may want to skip the first video.

Good luck, let me know what you think- please comment and rate it!

  • he doesnt say that, he says it basically a major scale with a flattened 7th, which is.

  • In fact mixolydian is some kind of a mix between Major and minor pentatonic scales isn't it ?
