Super Mario Bros at the Ice Capades (1989)

A special segment from the 1989 Ice Capades on ABC. It is hosted by Jason Bateman and Alyssa Milano. In it a Nintendo system they are playing backstage catches a virus, allowing for all of the characters to be released from the game and skate on ice. Christopher Hewett, better known as TV's Mr. Belvedere, plays King Koopa. The Mario Brothers are summoned by Princess Toadstool (sporting a Mae West accent) to stop Koopa's goons.

You know what? I think I like her Mae West voice better than her voice in most of the N64 games, where it's clearly a guy talking with a falsetto voice. "Deeeear Mario! I baked you a cake!"

I've realized that if you think of the movie as having no connection to the video games whatsoever; it's a pretty entertaining movie.
