Bill O'Reilly is astonishingly ignorant. I can't even believe he really thinks what he is saying. I think it is just acting to get rating or something. And there is no way he can really think that he is smart or winning debates with this ignorance. It must be an act just for ratings.

Much of America watches this guy and hangs on his every word. O'Reilly is a showman, not an intellectual. The typical workingman can watch his show and understand the content without much thinking, which is exactly why Fox is so popular. It hurts too much for most to read, think, and research. It is more convenient and even cathartic to sit back and let O'Reilly and Co. do the shouting, while Joe the Plumber sits in the recliner with a beer, nodding vacantly in agreement.

@ajcim I would highly disagree with that. Most Americans DON'T take him seriously. So many scandals with him along with his news network, he has no credibility. He's just a loud mouth and is able to convince a small amount of people (ie: You) that he actually has credibility. Trust me, most americans DO NOT take him seriously and do NOT hang on his every word. Several polls/surveys have been taken and prove that Jon Stewart and The Daily Show have far more credibility than Bill OReilly.
