3/11/10 Mississippi Prom

Message from Robin McGehee of GetEQUAL to Constance McMillen - The Itawamba county board of education cancelled the high school prom after Constance McMillen invited a female date to go with her. The school also had a problem because she desired to wear a tux and that did not meet their gender-conforming requirements. As a result, she and all of her classmates are being punished. Constance's 1st Amendment rights have been violated and this is an offer to help organize an all-inclusive prom for her and her fellow high school class mates.

I agree that the school is in the wrong, but that is NOT a first amendment right. Please read the constitution and bill of rights before trying to quote it.

Evidently Mississippi's still burning with H8 but instead of lynching blacks they're targeting homosexuals! The perpetrators of blatant discrimination should face stiff penalties, be forced to resign or have their State and Federal funding eliminated.
