It costs more than five times more to keep a homeless person sheltered in NYC as compared to Houston or Indianapolis. Why not ask them to share some of the expense?

NYC is the most expensive city in the USA. I don't see the point in having homeless shelters in NYC. The land is too valuable. You could support 10 homeless people in Houston instead. Isn't it better to help more people?
