@hsybren i have a dachshund and i always gave him something without him working for it.... and he started getting lazy... he wouldnt take walks... now he is kinda chubby.... and he is getting back problems easier than if he was skinny.... so yeah...

Everyone in my household likes to give in to our mini doxie and our doxie/jack russell, but I like to make the dogs work for a treat. It doesn't even have to be a lot that I ask for, maybe a sit and a down, but I like them to work for it, otherwise they get too fat (like they aren't already..)

Dude, that is the beauty of owning a dachshund. It's not like you can pick up a Great Dane to groom them, hahaha. We used to put ours on top of the dryer, and brush their coats with a brush from a baby brush & comb set. But you had to tell the black & tan how handsome he was & make a fuss over him or he would not sit to be brushed. :) Awesome video!!!
