the blank stare was so you could be the tay zonday of the keyboard playing...LOL J/K good stuff...

The synth part that opens the song is continuous throughout the song, but what you are playing on the pre chorus is not correct. The synth goes lower, and simpler. What you are playing is a separate keyboard line that was done as an overdub to the chorus to make the soaring string sound happen. I can send you the actual keyboard tracks from the song if you like. They help.

@khbabe95 I think that was the point.

Me: "I get up...."
The dude playing turns and stares as soon as I starts singing
Me: "AHHHHH!"

@SmashlytheBassGod - yeah! I bet it too... and worse! The timing is completely missed in the climax of the solo (and, of course, during the stare!!)

?? All music is repetitive. ??
They all work of a number of beats to a bar and a bar is no different to a loop.
You can apply this to Elton John, hard core rave, thrash metal, hip hop, nursery rhymes, ambient, TV show themes, radio adverts etc etc
I bet the blank stare was just so you could show off and say you could do the keyboard solo without looking.
