The Farmers Boys - More Than A Dream (Switch)

The Farmers Boys from Norwich. A band that made some great independent singles that are some of the best independent 7" singles ever released. Another John Peel and his audience's favourite back in 1982. Thanks John. Vocally they are not dissimilar to The Smiths who would not appear on the indie charts until the following year! Thanks. I'd forgotten exactly what the looked like - just a vague impression of short spiky hair and checked shirts, but then that's what most of my favourite bands looked like...

I saw them several times - we thought the ironing board was particularly cool - not that we'd have said "cool" back then.

i saw tfbs at a club called the venue in victoria london in 82. seems to be a good band the powers to be then missed.
