WOW! This is the best book trailer I have ever seen. BRAVO!

@zodiackiller12 Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. I wanted to go more in depth for this video but most of it was me sitting in front of my computer all night trying to figure out how to make things look good....and that makes for some long and boring youtube vids!

Nothing to add except to say this is awesome stuff! I almost enjoy learning what it took to make your trailer as much as watching the trailer itself.

O.O Wow! I am stunned!

your blue screen isn't lit very well, is it? did you mask out frame by frame there?

@hitechtonicleader Nope, just had to mask out the lights surrounding the area.

@davidjguytondotcom I mean like the scene at 0:55 you had no problems with keying out the blue? what program do you use? I use vegas and if i had that footage my picture would have needed alot of masking too.

@hitechtonicleader ohhh that part. Yeah I had to take all my equipment over to someone's house to film there and I forgot all the work lights. I didn't have time to go back and get them so I used a few regular photo lights. I shot all the scenes with the girl, and all the scenes with the red armor at that location. The keying wasn't terrible actually. I just had to mask around the area and pull the key from close to the figures. I used Color Key first, then Keylight in After Effects

@davidjguytondotcom okay, cause I'm working on my first shot on a greenscreen and in my first test, there was still some green on reflections. or the greenscreen had a hotspot that ruined the greenscreen.

@hitechtonicleader I had a hard time with hot spots too, and as you can see in the shots with the blonde, the blue came out very white. That caused more problems than the dark shots you mentioned earlier. To fix it, I added blue light gels to the work lights, and if you look at the shot with the guy dressed in black, it came out a lot better. It got rid of my white hot spots.
