Dizzy has a little fun at the expense of Jools. From the shortlived live jazz show sunday night. Hosted by Jools Holland, Dave Sanborn. The resident Sunday Night band -- and what a band! -- consisted of Marcus Miller on bass (also musical director of the show), Omar Hakim on drums, Hiram Bullock on guitar and Phillipe Saisse on keyboards. The tune is Tin Tin Deo.This show ran in 1988. Dizzy was the main guest.

  • Sanborn became the host at some point, no? Holland is OK at what he does with his own program, but he should NEVER be asked to interact with musicans like this because he is a shit interviewer.

  • THOSE LINES

  • I am a white dude but if I was Dizzy I would have kicked that ass in the balls. You do not disrespect Mr. Gillespie.

  • THOSE CHEEKS

  • El mejor de todos los tiempos chequea esta vercion del tema por mi grupo de Puerto Rico SIN FRONTE LATIN JAZZ y deja tu comentario

  • ahm... is marcus miller the bassist????, OwO

  • I love Dizzy and all American jazz. I watched this live way back in the 80s, and was struck by how much Dizzy was provoked and his response, which was fantastic.

Long live jazz, America, and the free expressive voice of Americans.

    hooooh yeah

  • I remember Miles Davis being on this show once, anyone got INFO on that?

  • The Atlantic just got an inch wider. In his defence, Jools, though irritating, can be quite a capable accompanist.
