Pole dance practice to Placebo's cover of 'Running Up That Hill'. All rights belong to Sony Music Entertainment.

I did this about a dozen times with various malfunctions before I got this video and called it quits because I was starting to feel like an old lady. Looking back, I can't believe how atrocious my walk was!

  • I Love placebo, you are very graceful. How long have you been pole dancing? I like the carousel like slide at 2:15. What inch heels are you wearing if you do not mind me asking?

  • @TNBrunette007

Thank you! At that point, I had been dancing a few months. I have improved greatly in my newer videos. I believe the heels were 6 or 6.5 inch.

  • I am just now getting better at inverting. I really struggle with the handstand variations and I've tried the caterpillar which I still can not do. I have been doing pole since October of 2010 but I have went months without practicing and I am just starting again. I am noticing that frequent practice makes a difference. I remember the first time I ever saw a pole, I did not even know how to do a 360 ( or the step around).

I've gone months without practicing as well, and I haven't taken lessons in over a year. It definitely does make a difference! I need to commit to dancing to at least one song a day. Right now, I'm having enough trouble completing my challenge every month!

I keep a firm but gentle grip while leaning out and forward and just fall into it. :)

  • @freezedriedevil sorry about that last reply - i was unknowingly signed onto my boyfriend's account. :D but would still love you to answer my question about your momentum. :) thanks!

  • @freezedriedevil okay, thank you! It kind of reminded me of a cradle spin, but the leg positions were different. :) I tried this last night, how do you get yourself to go forward so well? Is that all upper body momentum?

  • @bekkbekk90

I've heard it called both the nosedive and the hollywood.

  • What is the name of the move you do at 1:00? That's going to be my new move to learn! :)

  • Absolutely loved it - you looked beautiful! xoxo
