William Easterly explains the title of his book

Very interesting and I look forward to the documentary. William Easterly has performed an enormous service in his critiques of the developoment bureacracy. However, as I will be developing in an article for the Inter-American Foundation's journal Grassroots Development, I think he misses the crucial role of collective action in "bottom-up development" in the LDCs. As many examples of cooperative action show, entrepreneurship can take much more collective forms in many LDCs.
