Its not Dell problem, its an issue regarding ONLY to the battery.. Lithium-ion batteries are the most advanced ones we have nowadays, they last longer and charge faster than the carbon ones, BUT they function in very high temperature..although there's a temperature sensor in every lithium-ion battery, they can explode if their temperature overrises, regardless of the manufacturer...read further about it on "How stuff works (dot) com" website

Hi: Can this D size 10,000 mAh high capacity nickel hydride metal (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries blow off the Olight 1500Lumen Led Torch? Will it auto
draw 4 D size at (1.2v x 4) x 10,000mAh = 48W power or auto fix Draw at Power 16W?
Olight Led does not have voltage regulation control.
Old Battery was using (1.5v x 4)x 2500mAh=16W
if change all battery to 4 D size 1.2v with 10,000mAh, will it create 48W power & Double to 3000 Lumen Brighness?

The problem with the affected Li-Ion batteries were that foreign matter (metal flakes) had, somehow, made their way in the cells during the manufacturing process, which is a very serious defect.
The danger is that the foreign object can pierce through the cell barriers and cause an internal short circuit, which causes the cell to overheat.
This triggers a runaway thermal event that causes all the cells to become overheated and explode.

I wonder if the Asuse EEE batteries will have any problems? Because I have an EEE 1000

Dell is going down now lol
The batteries were made by SONY, which if I account correctly is Japanese.

Doesn't matter what brand you get , don't blame it on Dell.
It's about the Li-ion battery (made by sony , used by a lot)
Seems there's a problem with the particles , causing a short circuit.
If it heats up too quick , it's having a problem. get it replaced asap.
