Weather or not you like what happened at the start of Alien 3, you can either stop complaining like a littlbe baby, or just try to understand what situation they where going in when they made that choice. Do you think Ripley would have really killed herself if Newt/Higgs surived? No, and becasue she did, that left the door open for Alien Resurrection. Although, I do agree, it would have been nice to leave the ending to Aliens alone, but they didn't, get over it.

Alien3 was a bukkake across the cheeks of all fans of the Alien series. Killing off Hicks and Newt (and let's not forget Bishop) was one of the strangest film directions I have ever witnessed.

There was zero sense in that.
