@dalmurja Let @birminghamb1ues reply. Your views are your own.

@LsBaba Actually I think you might be the hopeless case, as you lashed out categorizing him with a mindless bible believer just because he drove the logic to the theory of intelligent design (he did not even reach it yet either, just started talking about some of its elements in his argument).
A hopeless case is one that is brainwashed not scrutinize what he is raised to believe and thus he can be a creationist or an evolutionist. You are a hopeless case because you don't want to listen... sigh
-
@birminghamb1ues You're clearly a hopeless case. I suppose you think the Earth is six thousand years old and there was a talking snake and a great flood, and so on. I won't waste my time arguing with you. I suggest you find some *real* scientific sources and do some reading.

@LsBaba Second - I did not refer to Thermodynamics but you should understand that these laws apply to EVERYTHING. They are Universal! The 2nd Law prevents a house from building itself but allows a designer with the necessary machinery to construct it. The 2nd Law prevents a book from writing itself but allows an author with the necessary tools to write it. Buildings and books point to an intelligent agent. How much more should living things and the genetic code point to an intelligence?
-
@LsBaba First - let's pretend there is no loss but only shuffling of information. There remains the problem of the origin of that information. The simplest cell has DNA consisting of 60,000 base pairs, or 120,000 bits. How did that information arise? How did the information content in our cells reach a staggering 6 billion bits? There is no mechanism for achieving this - and if there was it would take some explaining since it would have to be more complex than the code it had created.
-
@birminghamb1ues 'Downhill'? 'Loss of genetic information'?
There is no *loss* of information. There are *changes* in DNA. Uphill / downhill is meaningless.
You cannot apply the laws of thermodynamics to biological evolution.
-
@LsBaba no educated person refutes or denies the facts of mutation, natural selection or genetic drift. But remember this 'downhill' evolution only involves the shuffling/loss of genetic information. The 'uphill' evolution required by the General Theory demands the creation and addition of new genetic information. This process is not only NOT OBSERVED - it is NOT POSSIBLE since it violates some fundamental universal laws!
-
@lacigreen Yes, that's what I meant by "would" refute. Would like to (but do not succeed) :)
Thanks for uploading this. It's amazing that, in an educated 21st century population, there are so many people who would refute these scientific facts.

Thanks for the clarity and conciseness.
