This video is an excerpt from the May 21, 2011 WV Senate Redistricting Task Force public informational meeting. The meeting took place at the Marion County Courthouse, Fairmont, WV.
It divides Kanawha County into three (3) districts, one shared with Jackson, one shared with Boone, and one shared with Fayette and Raleigh. So Kanawha will always have a minimum of two senators (because of residency requirements, see proposed 7th and 9th), and it will have a third senator on average two out of three elections - see the proposed 8th district).
