Flex Before Flexibility!!

Many people think that stretching is a good activity for warming up the muscles.
Before exercise, if you stretch, youll be sorry. Stretching should always be done
at the end of your workout, after the blood is pumping and the muscles, tendons,
and ligaments are warm. You can either stretch each muscle individually between
exercises or stretch your entire body at the end. Never stretch a cold, non-pliable
muscle, which may actually pose more risk of injury than not stretching at all.

Warm-Up to Stretch.
Don't Stretch to Warm-Up.
Stretching before exercise is NOT the safest and soundest of systems. Always assure that your muscles and tendons are warm before working. Start slowly, progress gradually, and stretch at the end. :-)

  • Bruce lee wasn't a huge transformer muscle body builder... You don't need a strong body for martial arts, you need a strong mind and a great stradegy.

  • i only hate this dude for one reason , the thumbnails , you think when you click on that thumbnail that you are going to see a jacked up man with huge muscles making a deadly killer exrecise and SURPRISE you just see someone in red jacket that only shows you some exercises made for girls , and he doesnt even remove that jacket hmm,,, maybe he has an ugly billy fat LOLZ.

  • Static stretching has been proven to reduce performance if performed before a workout; HOWEVER its in the realm of 3%. It has been proven to reduce injury (Yes look at SCIENTIFIC research not mens health) So i say do it before and after. Im a fan of AIS mainly. Can really feel that. There was a huge uproar about static stretching being bad for you however the evidence was taken way out of context and exaggerated. You wont explode if you static stretch before you workout. Its in itself a myth.

  • He's Right, the best way to warm your muscles is by doing 10 minutes Cardio is the ultimate warmup...

    And then you can choose to stretch your muscles and your workout..
